Not considering the weather

The weather plays a crucial role on many wedding planning decisions. This can be from the types of flowers that are in season, the temperature outside and how that could affect your dress selection, and also, if rain could influence your ceremony or reception. Taking the season, time of day, and temperature into account is the easy part. The rain really can put a damper on plans. If you plan to have an outdoor ceremony, reception, or take pictures outside, you need to have a back up plan in place in the event that it rains on your big day.

Hopes bridal was a beautiful day at the Cliffs of Glassy Chapel.  Her mom was there to enjoy the day with her. The proposal which was done with a romantic diamond carving in a pumpkin (that she brought with her to the bridal), was a fun and unique photo opportunity on a truly beautiful mountain top afternoon.

Erin and Arthur wed up in the North Carolina Mountains in the small 1800s town of Highlands.  The Old Edwards Inn is well know for it’s amazing service and relaxing Spa.  It also owns several cottages.  Erin and Arthur married at the Piermont Cottage.  It’s a charming little cottage near the hotel and it’s the perfect size for a small wedding and reception.

Erin started her day at the spa getting her hair and makeup done.  With a few rain sprinkles in the air, we had a beautiful outdoor wedding with an enclosed tent for a wonderful reception.  What a wonderful event with their closest friends and family.

Greenville SC Wedding Photographer – Jena and Ross’ Wedding

Jena and Ross started their marriage with nuptials at St. Mary Magdalene in Greenville. After the ceremony, we were privileged to travel around Greenville with them, stopping and taking shots at interesting places we had planned in advance (the Rock Quarry, the Saw Mill). After dropping off most of the wedding party to begin the reception, we had some alone time with just the bride and groom near downtown Greenville. The reception was at one of our favorite venues, Larkin’s on the River! After a night of shoving cake at each other and enjoying the company of family and friends, the wedded couple left on a horse and carriage by the Wyche Pavilion.
